Overview
Kent is recruiting a Document Controller to join the team in Woking on a staff basis. In this role you will be responsible for providing a complete document control service across multiple projects. The work will be predominately based in the Woking office although some travel to the UK site office may be needed. If required, costs for travel will be reimbursed.
We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.

Responsibilities
* Access web-based system (Aconex) to upload and retrieve documentation
* Ensure compliance with document management standards and procedures including adherence to contractual document numbering practices and electronic repository structure
* Manage all filing system development
* Manage all logs and registers associated with the project
* Input daily project information into the computer system
* Draft correspondence and weekly/monthly project status reports
* Work with the PMT and the disciplines to assure smooth information exchange of the established protocol
* Responsible for the following DCC functions: Document Control, Vendor Document Control, Record management, Library & Archive and Construction / Site Office Document Control
* Fully conversant with all Contract / Project and Client requirements
* Resolve issues between PMT / disciplines or bring to the attention of the Project Controls Manager
* Ensure deliverables submission to client are issued in a timely manner
* Resolve issues within the DCC or bring to the attention of the Project Controls Manager
* Be responsible for overall discipline and timekeeping within the DCC
* Perform related duties as and when instructed by direct supervisor
Knowledge/Skills and Experience
* Demonstrable experience of delivering FEED and/or EPC phase Detailed Design projects as a Document Controller within the Oil and Gas and/or New Energy and/or Renewable Industry
* Preferable (but not essential) for candidates to have a blend of FEED and EPC experience
* Understands the project deliverables, milestones and required tasks and targets through the project progress measurement system
* Capable of using initiative, knowledge and experience to recognise, highlight and address opportunities and threats as and when they emerge
Communication
Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
