Job Title: Bakery SupervisorLocation: South West, UK Reports to: Factory Manager Salary: £25,000–£30,000 (depending on experience)About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and hands-on Bakery Supervisor to support the Factory Manager in overseeing day-to-day production within our bakery/factory. This role carries significant ownership over ingredients preparation, mixing, baking, production flow, packaging and courier dispatch.You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of operations, consistent product quality, and efficient workflow across the production team.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction LeadershipSupport the Factory Manager in managing daily production operationsTake ownership of ingredient preparation, batch set-up, mixing and baking processesMaintain production schedules and ensure targets are metHelp coordinate team workflow and ensure operations run smoothlyHands-On ProductionCarry out mixing, baking, ingredient prep and production tasksEnsure all recipes, measurements and processes are followed accuratelyAssist in monitoring product quality and consistencyPackaging & Dispatch ManagementOversee packaging operations to maintain efficiency and product presentation standardsPrepare and manage courier orders and dispatch schedulesMaintain packaging inventory and highlight stock requirementsQuality, Hygiene & ComplianceUphold all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, Food Safety Level 2/3)Ensure work areas are clean, organised and audit-readyContribute to continuous improvement across production processesSkills & ExperienceEssential:Experience in food production, bakery, or similar manufacturing environmentStrong organisational and multitasking skillsAbility to take ownership and work with autonomyConfident working with processes, measurements and schedulesGood communication skills and a team-first mindsetDesirable:Previous experience in a supervisory or senior production roleFamiliarity with bakery machinery and production equipmentFood safety qualificationsPersonal AttributesReliable, proactive and responsibleCalm under pressure with a practical, problem-solving approachHands-on, energetic, and able to support the team where neededTakes pride in efficiency, quality and consistencyWorking HoursFull-time position.
