About your team
The Chief Customer Office (CCO) drives growth across Centrica Retail through world-class customer experience and compelling product propositions.
We’re seeking a passionate Head of SEO to lead organic growth across our UK brands, including British Gas and Hive. You’ll develop onsite growth strategies to attract more customers efficiently using SEO and SEM.
About your role:
This role enhances our online presence, ensuring content reaches the right audience. You will develop and implement SEO strategies, manage in-house and agency teams, and collaborate across departments to meet business goals. A key focus is to build in-house SEO capabilities to reduce reliance on external agencies.
What will you be doing?
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve search rankings and traffic for British Gas and Hive websites.
2. Identify Opportunities: Conduct keyword research and analysis for content optimisation and creation.
3. Technical SEO: Oversee technical aspects like site architecture, crawlability, and indexation.
4. Collaborate: Work with content creators to ensure SEO best practices are integrated.
5. Performance Reporting: Monitor website performance using SEO tools, providing regular insights to stakeholders.
6. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
7. Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of three SEO specialists, fostering professional growth.
8. Growth Alignment: Collaborate with marketing, product, and development teams to align SEO with business objectives.
What we’re looking for:
The ideal SEO Lead will have a proven record of driving organic growth, deep technical SEO expertise, proficiency with tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and strong leadership skills.
