This is an exciting opportunity for qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) or Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join a school-based service in Surrey.

Each MHST is co-located in a carefully selected group of schools within their Borough of Surrey. We currently have established teams in all 11 boroughs (Epsom, Spelthorne, Reigate and Banstead, Elmbridge, Surrey Heath, Woking, Runnymede, Guildford, Waverley, Tandridge and Mole Valley) .
We currently have a vacancies based in the following locations: Unither House in Chertsey, 18 Mole Business Park in Leatherhead and Gatton Place in Redhill.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work within an MHST within the wider School-based Need team delivering, high-quality; brief outcome focused evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. The post holder will work in schools and in community locations. This post is suitable for someone who is passionate about intervening early to support children, young people and their family who need support with managing their mental health and emotional wellbeing to enable them to thrive.
They will be expected to:
Manage a caseload and offer the provision of mental healthcare services, to young people with mental health difficulties.
Holistic assessment of mental health and wellbeing in children and young people.
Work in partnership with Primary Mental Health Workers, CAMHS, Schools and GPs to liaise and support children and young people.
Offer high quality brief outcome focused evidence-based CBT practice to individuals, workshops and groups.
Work together with their schools to co-produce and deliver whole school approach work and offer ongoing professional consultation and advice to School Professionals.
