We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Warehouse Shift Manager. This is a key operational role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the warehouse during assigned shifts. The successful candidate will lead a team of Warehouse Team Leaders and operational staff, ensuring the efficient, accurate and safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of productivity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise warehouse operations to ensure excellent service delivery to all customers.
2. Professionally manage and support all staff under your supervision, ensuring adherence to company and departmental procedures.
3. Guide and assist Team Leaders with their daily responsibilities.
4. Liaise with customers and final-mile providers as required, ensuring timely updates and smooth operations throughout each shift.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant processes, including customer and UKBF procedures.
6. Maintain a cost-effective shift operation, minimising overtime and lieu hours.
7. Ensure trucks are released in line with departmental procedures.
8. Identify improvement opportunities, highlight training needs, and report these to management.
9. Ensure timely completion of staff timesheets and appropriate allocation of breaks.
