EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy Paint Shop. The Paint Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Paint Shop facility to maintain a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery
o Supervise daily operations of the paint shop team.
o Advise and guide on all paint shop operations (blasting, prepping, painting, repairs).
o Coach and mentor staff to develop skills.
o Estimate painting times, staffing, and costs to maximize efficiency.
o Develop and improve manufacturing methods considering safety and quality standards.
o Plan workspace utilization.
o Perform quality checks before and after jobs.
o Minimize re-work requirements.
o Coordinate with the Fitting Shop to meet production targets.
o Report progress to the Production Manager.
o Liaise with management on capabilities and schedules.
o Monitor and record performance data to improve efficiency.
o Streamline purchasing and reduce costs.
2. Performance Improvement
o Apply the performance management system consistently.
o Support staff in achieving KPIs and professional development.
o Address performance issues effectively.
3. Financial and Resource Management
o Ensure the Paint Shop operates efficiently and meets financial targets.
o Implement innovative solutions for service improvements.
4. People Management
o Provide leadership and ensure high-quality service.
o Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
o Uphold equality, diversity, and health and safety policies.
o Review staff performance regularly and support development.
o Participate in recruitment and disciplinary processes.

Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
* Degree qualification with 2-3 years supervisory experience in a similar industry.
* Hands-on painting experience with heavy machinery.
* Management/Leadership qualification (desirable).
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Ability to work flexible hours.
