Role: Locum Consultant in Histopathology
Rates: £100 - £120 per hour (PAYE)
Shift Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday (8 hrs day)
Job Details: You must be on the GMC specialist register as a Histopathologist, able to report independently. Experience in reporting within any histopathology specialties, especially GI, urology, breast and gynae, is required.
Remote working is not an option.

Job Description
Alongside a friendly, multidisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare professionals, you will use advanced medical equipment to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases by studying tissue and fluid samples.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
* Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain a diagnosis using various methods to ensure practical understanding.
* Work in and, where appropriate, lead a multidisciplinary team.
* Assess and prioritise patient/client requirements, delegating effectively to others.
* Examine patients, using diagnostic skills to determine necessary tests.
* Support and advise clinical staff on the use and limitations of each diagnostic investigation.
* Provide advice and interpret test results, assessing the appropriateness of further investigations.
* Deliver clinical care to patients where needed and conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics.
* Oversee the smooth running of the Pathology Department, planning workload and staffing requirements where required.
* Supervise and teach junior medical staff as needed.
* Carry out research and keep up to date with new information.
* Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
Qualifications / Licences / Certifications
Essential
* GMC registered Doctor with specialist licence to practice.
* Must hold and have completed FRCPath Part 2.
* Completion of higher training (CCT) or within 6 months of obtaining it.
* If lacking CCT registration, must be able to demonstrate considerable prior experience at consultant grade and hold FRCPath Part 2.
* Evidence of Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
* Pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
* Willing to work as PAYE only, not as a limited company.
