Mapping Coordinator - 6-month rolling contract - full-time, hybrid, in Bristol - £12.60 per hour (inside IR35) - BPSS required
Job Description:
This role is based within our Utility Solutions Practice, which provides utility-based products and services to a wide range of clients. Utility Solutions requires a Mapping Coordinator to support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions to our varied client base. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses on the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of our Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.
Essential Criteria
* Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
* Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
* Good attention to detail.
* Clear, concise communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
* Ability to manage time effectively.
* A high level of organisation and professionalism.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment.
* Prior experience or knowledge of utilising technology for process efficiencies.
* Experience in a client facing role.
Responsibilities
* Quality checking of deliverables
* Management of own workloads and raising any challenges to delivering this
* Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately
* Processing new orders
* Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships
* Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team's processes
* Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients
* To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
* Supporting other teams within our practice as required
