Job Summary:
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our team at a care home in the heart of the community. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care, care plans, medication administration, and managing a team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high-quality care is provided to residents.
Duties:
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the nursing team
- Manage and supervise staff to deliver person-centred care
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with regulations
- Coordinate activities within the care home to promote residents' well-being
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff
- Assist in liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and implement improvements where necessary
Experience:
- Previous experience in a senior care role within a nursing home, Supported Living, assisted living facility, or home care setting
- Strong understanding of dementia care practices and principles
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the care sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Nursing qualification is desirable but not essential
