Salary: £78,000 - 78,000 per year Requirements: A strong background in software engineering and its system-wide impact Experience of working in Java Collaborative, open approach to development, able to work well in a team Experience across the entire software development process, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and proving Familiarity with new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve efficiency and sustainability Experience in other programming languages such as Ada Knowledge of DDS middleware and Real Time Operating Systems Understanding of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508 Responsibilities: Design and develop new and evolving software tools and architectures Engage with requirement authorities to understand and document needs Participate in automated target integration and proving phases Collaborate with team members to maintain momentum through the development process Explore and implement new tools and techniques to enhance processes and sustainability Ensure adherence to industry standards throughout the development lifecycle Technologies: Ada Java More: We are a world-class defence organization based in Bristol, focused on developing solutions for next-generation Air Defence Systems.
