Job Title: Bar Operations Manager
Location: Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds (with flexibility for commuting)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary: As the Bar Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of all bar-related activities within our dynamic hospitality group. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service, profitability, and compliance across multiple locations. This position requires frequent travel between our venues in Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds, ensuring consistency and excellence in bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of bars across designated locations, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
* Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high levels of productivity and morale.
* Inventory and Stock Control: Implement effective inventory management practices, including stock ordering, control, and rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
* Customer Experience: Drive exceptional customer service standards, resolving customer complaints promptly and maintaining a customer-centric focus at all times.
* Financial Management: Monitor and analyze bar performance metrics, including sales, costs, and profitability, taking proactive measures to achieve financial targets.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, conducting regular audits and training sessions to uphold standards.
* Menu Development and Pricing: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative beverage menus, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
* Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with beverage suppliers and negotiate contracts to optimize quality, cost, and service delivery.
* Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for bar staff, focusing on product knowledge, service excellence, and operational procedures.
* Event Management: Coordinate bar operations for special events and functions, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a senior bar management role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
* Solid understanding of beverage trends, cost control measures, and industry best practices.
* Ability to travel frequently between Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds, or willingness to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Certification in Food Safety and Beverage Alcohol Service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).
