The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Project Surveyor to deliver construction projects and manage supply chain relationships. Reporting to the Senior Projects Surveyor, you will be responsible for specifications, tendering, and project delivery, including homeownership (leasehold) works, care home decorations, and bespoke projects requiring detailed specifications.
This role plays a critical part in our core investment programmes, requiring close collaboration with contractors, the portfolio strategy team, sustainability team, and housing/care operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop specifications and contract documents for tendering, ensuring deliverable work packages for supply chain partners.
2. Manage contractor relationships to ensure robust project delivery and compliance with key performance indicators.
3. Collaborate with property teams, portfolio strategy, and sustainability teams to align project delivery with Anchor’s quality and strategic objectives.
4. Establish and maintain robust project management arrangements, ensuring programmes are delivered within time and budget constraints.
5. Identify and implement practices that drive value for money, including risk strategies and benchmarking for large projects.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal governance requirements, making recommendations for improvements.
About You
You are a skilled and proactive professional with a strong background in project delivery and contract management. You bring:
7. A proven track record of delivering property projects, including homeownership (S20) programmes, on time and within budget.
8. Experience working with high-value, complex partnering contracts, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
9. Expertise in developing specifications, tendering, and managing construction programmes, with an understanding of relevant legislation.
10. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, collaborate across teams, and manage change effectively.
11. Excellent planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and deliver pragmatic solutions.
12. A degree or substantial relevant experience, with a professional qualification (, MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards one (desirable).
