Up To £70,000 DOE, Up to £5,000 welcome bones, Up to £5,000 relocation allowance We’re excited to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to our busy, friendly GP practice, caring for a wonderfully varied caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and the occasional tortoise. The role offers a healthy balance between consultations and surgery, though we’re equally open to a consult-only vet. No two days are the same, and the emphasis is on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Develop Your Skills With the Right Support Our surgical caseload is largely routine, including dentals, lump removals and a wide range of soft tissue procedures, with real scope to develop your clinical interests. You’ll be encouraged to work cases up thoroughly, enjoy continuity where possible and build confidence at your own pace. Experienced vets are always on hand to mentor and support, creating an environment where learning is part of everyday practice. The clinic is well equipped with ultrasound, dental X-ray, DR X-ray (SignalPET), a full in-house lab, microscopy and cytology. A Modern Practice Designed for You Located close to the main high street, our purpose-built practice has recently undergone a full refurbishment. Facilities include four consulting rooms, two theatres, a dedicated lab, separate cat and dog wards with isolation, X-ray rooms, a dental suite, dispensary, open-plan waiting area, comfortable staff room and kitchen, a vet office for quiet admin time, and excellent on-site parking. Flexible Working That Respects Balance Full-time hours are worked across four days between 8:30am and 7:00pm, with part-time applications very welcome. The out-of-hours rota is a manageable 1 in 6 weekend commitment, covering 8:00am to 7:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with RVN support throughout. Rotas are planned thoughtfully, with work-life balance always in mind. A Team You’ll Love Being Part Of You’ll join a genuinely friendly, supportive and welcoming team of five vets, eight RVNs and a fantastic client care team who value collaboration and kindness. We actively encourage professional development and would be happy to support certificate training. Beyond the clinic, we’re proud to be involved in the local community through school visits, dog shows and events.
