About the Role
A leading Transmission System Operator is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the safe, secure, and reliable operation of Northern Ireland’s electricity system. This is a chance to work at the forefront of power system innovation, renewable integration, and market development.
The Opportunity
Within the Operations Directorate, you will contribute to real-time system security, engineering analysis, outage management, risk assessment, and the development of operational tools, standards, and policies.
You may also support:
·Grid and Network Code management
·Performance analysis of new and existing generation technologies
·Commissioning, testing, and compliance processes
·Market data assurance, modelling, and reporting
These roles run to with potential for longer-term opportunities.
About You
·Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 4+ years’ experience in power system operations
·Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
·Excellent communication abilities, including explaining technical concepts clearly
·Organised, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
·Skilled in data analysis with strong attention to detail
·Innovative, adaptable, and team-focused
