What does a Marketing Apprenticeship Scheme involve day to day?
Over 18 months, you’ll rotate through different specialisms in our worldclass Marketing functions, in areas such as social media, SEO and Website design, through to Marketing Communications where you will understand how we create our marketing material. All helping you gain lots of amazing experience so you can figure out what you’re best at and what you love doing the most.
Our business is always innovating, and our Marketing professionals will be in your corner throughout the programme, coaching you in just how we do it. There are no barriers to the top professionals here—you’ll have direct, one-on-one access to all their expertise. Even though we’re global, we’re still a family business and, with the close support you’ll receive, it’ll really feel like it. It’s what makes our Marketing Apprenticeship such a special learning experience.
What could I be doing?
You’ll explore various functions within marketing, dedicating six months to different business areas such as:
Events - Being a part of the events team consists of planning, organising and managing internal and external events, alongside day-to-day visits. An events role involves working in a faced paced and high demanding environment.
Marketing Communications - Marketing communications involve working alongside the product teams to create, plan and execute marketing materials to be distributed across several platforms, including social medias, JCB website, brochures and our dealer facing app.
Social Media - A social media role involves supporting the social media team to initiate ideas and relationships with influencers to create content to be shared across our social media platforms to showcase JCB’s brand.
Digital Marketing - Working closely with the digital marketing team to ensure that the JCB website is fully up to date and functioning correctly day-to-day. This role requires a close working relationship with the external marketing agency, to guarantee the success of the JCB website. SEO and PPC analysis are a key part of this role.
Consumer Products - Working alongside licensees to take everything from merchandise to workwear and tools, from development to retail and advertising. A consumer product role also involves creating engaging content across all social media for the younger generation, promoting a full variety of high-quality products.
What comes next?
1. We’ll be reviewing applications against the essential criteria then shortlisting and sending out links to our online assessments in November 2025 - January 2026 (we’d recommend you keep a look out for emails at this point as you’ll hear from us either way).
2. Once you’ve fully completed your online assessment, we’ll review it and provide you with an update within a few weeks. Please note, if you’ve not completed your online assessment then we won’t take your application further (we’ll send you a few reminders to make sure you don’t forget). If you've been progressed, you’ll be sent an invite to attend one of our in-person Assessment Centres.
3. In-person Assessment Centres will take place from January to April 2026 (we’ll send you all the details you need).
4. Following your Assessment Centre, whether you’ve been successful or not, our promise to you is that you’ll receive a call with feedback.
5. If successful, congratulations! We’ll now take you through the onboarding process, which will include a familiarisation day.
6. Welcome to JCB – our Early Careers cohorts ordinarily start in early September.
