is recruiting a Mental Health & Behaviour Support Worker to work in a secondary school catering for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The successful candidate will support teachers and contribute to the wellbeing and development of students with SEMH needs. This school prides itself on its core principles, providing excellent education to 100 students within a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. This is a long-term position.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Experience collaborating with vulnerable individuals with educational health care plans
* Understanding of SEMH children and their potential behaviours
* Confidence working closely with students, supporting their learning and participating in classroom activities
* Adaptable communication skills for working with children individually or in small groups
* Ability to promote positive behaviour and build children’s confidence
