We are recruiting in our North region; this position can be based in any of our Northern regional offices including Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Scotland.
The role
We are seeking a well-connected and forward-thinking leader within the M&E sector, with a proven ability to build relationships, open new markets, and shape long-term growth strategies. This role is suited to someone with a strong business development, pre-construction and operational delivery background, who can look several years ahead. Aligning capability, regional demand, and supply chain to create a sustainable pipeline of work. With an established network across major clients and PQS organisations, you will be confident in influencing at senior levels and positioning SES as a leader in the market.
Reporting to the Regional Managing Director – North, you will lead the development of new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and drive the growth agenda across the region. You will work closely with the National Customer Strategy Director to ensure alignment with the wider customer and growth strategy across SES. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including marketing, product development, and operations—to ensure customer relations, partnerships, and pipeline are aligned with business goals.
Key responsibilities
* Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business strategy.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored solutions that drive business value and support growth.
* Develop and implement regional growth strategies, generating targeted leads and building a quality pipeline to increase revenue.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and report to the Regional Board on performance metrics, market conditions, and growth opportunities including MEP frameworks.
What you will bring

Strong leadership capabilities to build and lead high‑performing teams, analytical and strategic thinking, proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office, adaptability, and willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events are essential.
