Job Description:
About the Role:
The Filler Operator position is responsible for:
* Maintains accurate records (i.e. chart recorders)
* Supports quality system
* Maintains communication within production team member ensuring smooth shift transitions, etc.
* Support technical in appropriate maintenance activities
* Monitors raw materials, supplies to ensure efficient production
* Ensure adequate supply of packaging materials and communicate resource requirements for replenishment
* Determine acceptable quality ranges on packaging
* Coordinate communication between RPS Operator and DE Operators
* Participate, and sometimes lead, daily operations meetings
* Responsible for start-up of filler.
* Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
* Collect required samples needed for QA testing.
* Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
* Ability to perform filler changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
* Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
* Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
* Sanitation of equipment
* Perform package integrity testing
Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on the night shift, which operates from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Monday through Sunday (continental shift). The hourly rate for the role is $31.25 with a night shift premium of $1
