We are looking for a motivated RVN to join our team at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists as a Neurology Nurse, where your passion for developing your nursing skills in advanced neurological cases will be recognised and nurtured. Responsibilities
* Nursing care of hospitalised patients (either in ICU or day wards).
* Performing anaesthetic monitoring of patients during advanced diagnostic procedures (e.g. MRI).
* Anaesthesia and surgical preparation for those undergoing surgical interventions.
* Assisting with the daily running and maintenance of specialist equipment.
* Supporting our wards and rehabilitation teams with the post-operative care of neurological patients.
What you will bring to our team
* A dynamic individual with high attention to detail and an empathetic approach to patient care.
* The confidence to take initiative and actively contribute to patient care.
* A keen interest in neurological cases.
* Experience in a referral practice is beneficial.
* Relevant certificates or post-graduate qualifications are desirable.
Shift pattern
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position on a 5-week rolling rota. We can accommodate a 4- or 5-day working week (Monday–Friday), with 1:5 weekends and TOIL. There is no scheduled on-call or out-of-hours work with this role; however, occasional overtime may be required in the event of an emergency or if a case runs over.

About the team and location
SCVS is a specialist-led small animal hospital with the expertise to support complex cases. We are based in Ringwood, Hampshire, off the A31, with a new purpose-built theatre complex and a range of facilities including a rehabilitation centre and ICU. Our Neurology team includes 2 full-time Neurology Nurses plus support from Multidisciplinary and Anesthesia teams, a Neurology VCA, and 2 Residents and 1 Intern.
