Master Technician Location: Darlington Salary: up to £42,000 basic per annum plus bonus, OTE £48,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, saturday mornings on rota Reference: 30076 My client, a well-established and reputable main dealership, is recruiting an experienced Master Technician to join their friendly and professional aftersales team in Darlington. Benefits for Master Technicians • Starting salary competitive within the industry or Attractive starting salary • Company pension scheme • Generous holiday allowance Role Overview – Master Technician • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems • Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections) • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems • Maintain accurate records of all work and parts used • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs • Keep the work area clean and well-organised • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques Requirements – Master Technician • Proven experience as a Master Technician, with a relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) • MOT qualification is a significant advantage • Full UK driving licence • Strong attention to detail and excellent diagnostic skills • Must have a well equipped toolbox appropriate for workshop duties How to Apply If you’re interested in this Master Technician role, please submit your CV and we will be in touch once we receive it.
