Job Description
* Develop growth strategies and plans for the sales department.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
* Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
* Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation, generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
* Understand the needs of your customers and respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
* Draw up client contracts
* Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them.
* Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Development Manager should have:
* Proven sales track record.
* Ability to build rapport.
* Outstanding negotiation skills.
* Strong market knowledge, particularly in the facilities management sector.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Lives in or near London and have the ability to frequently travel to customers
