Part-Time Chef (20–25 Hours) – Flexible Availability
Job Summary
We're looking for a reliable Part-Time Chef to join our friendly café/restaurant team in Aberdare. We serve breakfast and lunch, and we need someone who can be flexible across the week (including weekends when required). This is a hands-on kitchen role focused on great food, speed, and high standards.
Hours & Pay
Part-time, permanent (20–25 hours per week)
£12.50 per hour (starting rate), depending on experience
Flexible shifts across the week (availability required)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistent standard
Assist with prep, stock rotation (FIFO) and keeping the kitchen organised
Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards
Work efficiently during busy periods and support smooth service
Communicate well with the front-of-house team
Requirements
Previous kitchen/chef experience (required)
Strong food hygiene knowledge and safe working practices
Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure
Flexible availability across the week
Right to work in the UK
