The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a designated territory, driving commercial performance across sales, margin, profitability and account development. The position will focus on both new business acquisition and strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive territory performance by achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets
* Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive management of a prospect pipeline
* Grow existing accounts by increasing product penetration across chilled, frozen and ambient ranges
* Monitor and manage customer accounts in line with agreed credit terms
* Deliver high levels of customer service through consistent communication and effective account management
* Track competitor activity and provide market insights to support commercial strategy
* Maintain accurate reporting including sales updates, journey planning and performance tracking
* Manage time and resources effectively to ensure efficient territory coverage
* Support wider sales initiatives and campaigns as required
* Protect and grow account profitability in line with overall business objectives
The Person
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a field-based sales role, ideally within foodservice or FMCG
* Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
* Strong relationship-building and networking skills
* Full, clean driving licence
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
* Knowledge of catering or foodservice operating models
* Experience working across multi-temperature product categories
