About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals our residents will enjoy. You’ll uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, showing new starters how to operate equipment, or cleaning, you will prioritize Resident wellbeing.
We seek candidates with some kitchen experience, or those willing to study for an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Strong organizational skills, good record-keeping, and the ability to follow recipes are essential. Communication should always be considerate and kind, especially with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to report concerns. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice or escalate concerns as needed.
