We are currently recruiting within our Severnside Blowmoulding function for a QESH Controller to join the team on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Working with the respective Dairy HSE managers and Blow Moulding Technical Manager, the Controller will implement and maintain agreed Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems (eg OHSAS18001, BRC/IoP Packaging, ISO14001) and identify, coordinate, implement improvement activity in conjunction with the Site Leadership Team to deliver QESH performance improvement.
This role is a 6 month fixed term position
Key responsibilities:
1. Contributes to and implements Blow Moulding testing, Quality Management System and process developments in line with MMI Standards and "process confirms" quality control responsibilities and performance
2. Delivers effective Quality Review activity (embracing the principles of PMS - including SIC, Pulse, DOR, WPR and MPR) to achieve continually improving levels of quality performance.
3. Provide governance and ownership to BM Quality Index and other monthly Quality Reports and KPIs
4. Support the integration of the Blow Mould QMS (including hazard & risk management, product safety, internal audits, site standards, product and process control, and hygiene and housekeeping as a non-exhaustive list) within the overall MMI Blow Mould and Muller Group Quality Systems and with other functions as applicable (eg H&S, Engineering)
5. Responsible for internal and external quality audit processes
6. Provide expertise and problem solving capability through Quality Management Systems knowledge
7. Contributes to and implements H&S strategies in line with MMI standards and "process confirms" H&S management responsibilities and performance
8. Delivers effective H&S Review activity (embracing the STAR system and the principles of PMS - including SIC, Pulse, DOR, WPR and MPR) to achieve continually improving levels of H&S performance
9. Provide governance and ownership to BM H&S Index and other monthly H&S Reports and KPIs
10. Support the integration of the Blow Mould H&S Management System within the overall site (Dairy + Blow Mould) H&S Management System to achieve overall Site Accreditation (Dairy + Blow Mould) to appropriate H&S Accreditation Standards (OHSAS18001, ISO45000)
11. Responsible for Blow Mould internal and external H&S audit processes, including audit of statutory requirements to ensure legal compliance
12. Provide expertise and problem solving capability through H&S Management System knowledge
13. Actively contribute to the development of the Annual BM Facility Business Plan
14. Lead / coordinate / manage QESH objectives agreed as part of the Annual Business Planning process to deliver required results on time in full
15. Lead / coordinate / manage continuous improvement projects and initiatives to improve the overall performance of the BM facility
16. Support the creation, development and delivery of QESH projects and improvement plans
17. Actively drive the sharing, communication, capturing and implementation of Best Practice with other sites / areas
18. Contribute to Best Practice and Development within MMI through participation and input into appropriate Review and Best Practice Forums
19. Support the Technical Manager Blow Moulding and Blow Mould Site Operational Lead to develop Blow Moulding Technical and QESH capability within MMI Blow Moulding Operations
20. Actively work with and support the Dairy EHS Manager to deliver effective and integrated management systems (Dairy + Blow Mould) for Environmental and Health & Safety.
21. Actively develop, promote and improve the operating culture within the BM facility
Skills and Experience:
22. Advanced problem solving
23. BRC Packaging Audit Experience
24. H&S Management System Experience (eg OHSAS18001)
25. Environmental Management System Experience (eg ISO14001)
26. Minimum 2 Years In Middle/Senior Management Position
27. Skills to prepare and deliver QESH related training sessions
28. Experience of internal auditing
29. Strong organisational and communication skills.
