The Mechanical Fitter role is crucial to the company's continued success and growth. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the complete manufacturing of aircraft components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This will involve the application of protective coatings, sealing, and the use of both manual and automated technologies.
In addition to the core manufacturing duties, the Mechanical Fitter will also undertake operational support roles, such as forklift driving, crane operation, and component cleaning and preparation. The role also requires providing guidance and support to other areas of the business as needed.
To be successful in this Mechanical Fitter position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship or relevant work experience
- SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a manual discipline
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read technical drawings
- Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team
