Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Electric Vehicle (EV) Mechanic for a contract position (Outside IR35). This role is ideal for a professional with Level 2 or Level 3 EV certification and hands-on experience servicing electric and hybrid vehicles. You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining high-voltage EV systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles
* Work on key EV systems including batteries, drivetrains, charging infrastructure, and electrical components
* Adhere strictly to high-voltage safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
* Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify faults and perform repairs
* Maintain service records and ensure quality control on all work completed
* Keep up-to-date with the latest EV technology and repair techniques
Requirements:
* IMI Level 2 or Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) – Essential
* Solid experience as a mechanic, ideally with EV or hybrid vehicle expertise
* Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems and EV diagnostics
* EV-specific certifications or manufacturer training are advantageous
* Excellent attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
* Valid UK driver's license
