What You’ll Lead
As the Head of Digital Activation, you will:
* Build an industry-leading digital practice, unifying all current and future channels into one cohesive, high-performing system.
* Develop a clear, data-driven digital strategy that defines the purpose, relevance, and role of each channel across every stage of the audience journey.
* Lead, coach, and inspire a team of digital specialists to ensure continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
* Partner with technology teams to optimise digital platforms including websites, social media channels, email platforms and app environments.
* Own and evolve SEO strategy, including emerging areas such as zero-click engagement and AI-driven search.
* Create strong internal briefing and planning processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and collaboration across campaigns.
* Build a robust performance measurement framework, enabling accurate tracking, reporting, and insights across all channels.
* Champion innovation, experiment with new approaches, and drive digital best practice across the organisation.
What You Bring
* Proven experience leading high-performing cross-channel digital teams.
* Outstanding people leadership — coaching, mentoring, and inspiring in a low-ego, collaborative environment.
* Emotional intelligence and a grounded, steady approach that promotes trust, safety, and strong working relationships.
* Deep expertise across digital channels: web, social, email, app ecosystems, and analytics.
* Strong background in creating and executing integrated digital strategies.
* Advanced understanding of modern SEO, including zero-click behaviour and AI-enhanced search.
* Ability to design and implement digital planning and execution frameworks.
* Highly data-savvy with experience building performance systems and turning insights into action.
* Experience building internal briefing processes that align teams and ensure consistent campaign activation.
* Passion for innovation and an evidence-based approach to evaluating new digital trends.
* Ability to challenge and support channel owners to continuously evolve.
* Background in events, exhibitions, or community-driven environments is a bonus.
The role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in our client's Brighton office.
