Our client based in Elstree is looking for a permanent Internal Sales Engineer.
Internal Sales Engineer Main Duties will include:
* Report directly in order to the Production and Purchasing Manager
* Deal with incoming enquiries from a diverse customer base
* Provide immediate information, quotes, pricing and technical information for new and replacement equipment including replacement parts and repairs
* For more involved quotations, installations or systems, ask detailed questions of the customer to better understand the product application. Transactions may require the use of engineering and mathematical calculations with product technical data sheets to help match the product to the application
* Consult with the wider business including sales team, engineers, purchasing, production and despatch as needed
* Record all opportunities, quotes and communications in the SAP Business One system
* Turn quotes to order and process these with clear departmental instructions
* Work with production and fabricators to backward engineer customer solutions. This includes producing and adapting CAD technical drawings in 2D and 3D
* Keep abreast of the latest industry standards and legislation to ensure relevant product compliance for machine applications. Data sheet specifications, manuals and physically inspect products to increase knowledge and familiarity
* Work with the production team to agree delivery lead times and where special custom engineered items are required
* Proactively follow up leads and quotations for the highest possible conversion rate
* Maintain ongoing dialog with regular and lapsed customers in order to remain their first choice for future opportunities
* Upsell and cross sell opportunities
* Qualify out low value opportunities
* Report at weekly sales meeting on progress with key accounts, prospects and successes, updating colleagues with developments and marketing campaign opportunities
* Provide input into annual sales and marketing plans and strategies
* Attend demonstrations and exhibitions as necessary
* Contact customers to sell in new products as they are launched
Internal Sales Engineer Ideal Canidate will have:
* Self-starter
* Good at prioritising workload
* Previous experience working within a market industry is helpful, but experience selling similarly technical machine products is ideal
* Ideally supported by a technical qualification such as HNC or HND in electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering
* Skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD, creating, amending and recording precise 2D and 3D drafts and designs as part of our product development
* AC, DC and Hydraulic winch and hoist experience desirable
* Demonstrate to the client clearly their needs by interpretation, technically and personally
* Develop strong customer relationships
* Exceptional communication skills, cheerful personality and team player
* Understand profit and a proven record in achieving the right results
* Confident individual
* Demonstrate IT experience, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* SAP Business One experience would be an advantage
Additional Information:
* Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am to 5:30pm, Wednesday 8am to 5:30pm and Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm
* 1-hour lunch break
* Annual leave 20 days. 2/3 days kept back for Christmas (holiday's increase after length of service by one day every 5 years)

Salary:
£28,000 ot £32,000 dependant on experience
