About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others and providing exceptional customer service? Skipton Building Society is recruiting a Customer Consultant within our Solihull Branch. Your role will involve engaging in conversations to identify customer needs, providing information about our savings range, products, and services, and helping customers review their circumstances and goals with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Our branches serve as community hubs, but we also support customers online and via our contact centre, ensuring accessible, flexible service options. You will be the friendly face and voice of Skipton, acting as a listener, problem solver, and knowledgeable advisor to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome customers warmly in-branch and over the phone, making positive first impressions.
2. Engage and Understand: Ask insightful questions to uncover customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
3. Listen and Tailor Solutions: Offer personalized solutions based on customer circumstances.
4. Proactive Outreach: Contact customers proactively to discuss their needs.
5. Maintain Accurate Records: Keep customer records up-to-date, with special attention to vulnerable customers.
6. Adhere to Policies: Follow company policies and standards, supported by comprehensive training.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in customer interaction, from banking, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or similar sectors, demonstrating a passion for service excellence.
* Ability to work well with others and demonstrate a 'one-team' mindset.
* Flexibility and agility to handle busy days and a variety of customer needs.
* Desire to grow, adapt, and support business priorities.
Benefits
Salary from £23,600 to £27,950 per annum, plus benefits including:
* Annual discretionary bonus (~8%)
* 25 days + bank holidays, rising to 30 days
