Overview
There are three specialist community learning disability teams (CLDTs) across Aberdeenshire, and this post is based within the North CLDT. Each team has a small specialist speech and language therapy team within a multidisciplinary community learning disability team that includes the full range of professionals and care managers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver speech and language therapy services to a mixed caseload, including complex, dysphagic and forensic clients.
* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans within a supportive team structure.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members, supervisors and assistant/HCSW support.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Broad experience with learning disabilities and ability to manage a diverse client group over a large geographical area.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and respond to supervision.
