Job overview Purpose of volunteering role : To support the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team with basic administrative duties This is a voluntary role which is unpaid. Whether you have time, skills, or simply a passion for helping others, volunteering with us offers the chance to gain valuable experience, build confidence, and be part of a supportive and inclusive NHS team Advert This voluntary role will support the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team with basic administrative tasks such as: -Printing -Covering reception -General Admin duties The role is based in Walsall. Volunteers must be able to travel to the site. Travel costs will be reimbursed. Working for our organisation Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist mental health, learning disability, and community healthcare services for the population of the Black Country. Across the whole of the region we provide: · Adult and older adult mental health services · Specialist learning disability services · CAMHS Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was formed on 1 April 2020, after NHS England and NHS Improvement approved the merger of Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Combining resources, strategies and talented workforce enables us to deliver a wider variety of outstanding services that are based on best practice and are continually improving. Detailed job description and main responsibilities We are looking for volunteers who have these qualities: Computer skills - competent in use of email, Microsoft Office and databases Organisational Skills Reliability: Commitment to a regular volunteer schedule to provide consistent support Aw areness of mental health Able to follow confidentiality policy and professional boundaries for their own safety and safety of the patients. Live in the Black Country or Birmingham area, within a reasonable travel distance to site. Volunteers must be over 18 We’re committed to building a workforce and culture that reflects our varied population – and to create a culture of belonging. We always engage and involve when making key decisions, regardless of role or level. For example, we have worked closely with staff, patients, community groups and other key partners, in putting together our clinical strategy. Due to the nature of our work some volunteering roles may be subject to a Standard or Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, through the Disclosure and Barring Service as stipulated under part V of the Police Act 1997. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering with us; this will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
