Main Duties:
As an Assistant Accountant your main duties include:
* Provide support to the Group Finance Manager and wider Management Accounting team.
* Assist with the production of monthly and annual accounts.
* Work across treasury, stock accounting, and accounts payable query resolution, with flexibility to support other finance areas.
* Help implement improvements following the introduction of a new ERP system.
* Prepare daily cash reports and perform bank reconciliations.
* Support weekly payment runs and ensure efficient processing of stock transactions.
* Assist with month-end activities, including accruals and prepayments.
* Take on additional responsibilities within management accounting to broaden knowledge and support process improvements.

The role is on-site at their contemporary office, located in Coventry. Due to the size of the company, there is lots of opportunity to grow and evolve your career. The role offers generous rewards as well as the opportunity to become a shareholder after 6 months of employment
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
* Proficient in Excel, including use of advanced formulas (e.g. IF, XLOOKUP, SUMIF).
* Supportive and approachable, able to guide non-financial colleagues in senior roles.
* A collaborative team player who contributes to shared success.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
* Demonstrates leadership potential and ambition to grow within the team.
* Highly organised with strong multi-tasking abilities.
* Clear and confident verbal communicator.
* Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
