Our Client is a leading Private Equity firm headquartered in London (c300 headcount globally) and they are looking for an interim (9-12 month) maternity leave cover for a Senior L&D Specialist based in their London HR team. The individual must have worked within financial services and be available for a September 2025 start. Role details are as follows:
KEY PURPOSE:
* Responsible for shaping the development of talent and leadership skills in every part of the firm
* Understands the organisational leadership requirements to link the values and the behaviours that align to the business vision
* Translates the behaviours effectively into a set of consistent leadership and talent capabilities upon which to improve knowledge, skills and capability in the leadership and management of people to attract, performance manage, coach, and grow future talent
* Be the HR Lead to work alongside the DEI committee to both drive and deliver the DEI agenda
* To provide generalist support as and when required
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learning and Development
* Understand the business strategy and direction to shape the leadership and talent development agenda
* Work within and across the various businesses to assess talent development solutions and partner with business heads to refresh and introduce an integrated approach to leadership, learning and development at every level of the firm. Partner closely with key stakeholders to gain insights and feedback to shape, create and deliver future programmes that drive value and capability across the firm
* A strategic partner to the international offices, ensuring the learning and development strategies are embedded in the people agenda
* Thought leadership around subject matter with gravitas and credibility, deep understanding of skill building and methodologies for a culturally diverse international workforce with differing capabilities impacting learning styles
* Manage and develop content to form the basis of learning and development programmes to support our talent’s career aspirations and goals. Offer solutions to improve the learning experience and ensure initiatives are integrated with other learning solutions (technical, industry and professional). Able to cater for a multigenerational workforce, differing learning styles and work demands.
* Capture organisational development needs and translate this into an effective plan as part of the training lifecycle.
* Own the development curriculum for all Partners, Principals and Senior Managers along with coaching and mentoring across all business functions
* Planning and effective management of our learning and development budget
* Use analysis and insights to inform the leadership development agenda. Measure and analyse programme data to provide insights and improve outcomes to ensure effectiveness and ROI
* Proactively source and manage third party suppliers that are involved in delivering aspects of talent development programmes
* Identify opportunities to align and integrate diversity and inclusion within the practice of deployment of leadership development
DEI
* Influence and implement the firm's Diversity and Inclusion strategy, working alongside the DEI Committee. As part of creating and promoting an environment where everyone has a voice, this person will need to operate at being both visionary and ensuring that deliverables are being executed
* Contribute actively to the development of firm-wide DEI priorities and goal setting, as a member of the DEI committee. This person would work closely with members on creating, implementing, and managing innovative programmes and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion throughout Coller Capital
* Support the DEI committee to assist in the development of diversity strategies that align with business initiatives, including drafting updates and reports for the Executive Board and Investor Relations on progress against overall strategy, goals, and key deliverables.
* Develop a firm-wide DEI curriculum, including content which aims to educate and build our internal DEI offering
* In partnership with the Recruitment team and wider HR groups, work together to build strategies to attract, develop, and retain candidates from underrepresented groups.
* Drive collection and reporting of metrics, reporting and data governance strategy that informs talent and diversity-related decisions and planning. Measure tangible progress year-over-year
* Work closely with the Investor Relations team in supporting business development activities including responding to investor queries around diversity of workforce and policy, and ensuring metrics and data are fit for purpose.
* Partner with the Marketing Team to strengthen our external brand as a firm that values and celebrates diversity to attract and retain talent
* Provide thought leadership to wider private equity community positioning Coller Capital as an industry leader in their approach to DEI
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
* A learning and development subject matter expert. Able to work independently and within a team and at all levels
* Extensive experience of designing, developing, and embedding capabilities and solutions to drive business performance and grow capability and skills in an international organisation
* Key partnering and internal consultancy skills, able to influence senior stakeholders effectively and a track record of effective relationship building across a diverse landscape
* Extensive experience of advocating the business case and influencing stakeholder buy-in to transform the learning and development, and leadership capabilities agenda into drivers of performance for the firm
* Understand and work effectively across both business and employees using leadership behaviours to drive the desired culture and behaviours across the organisation
