Therole is central to the smooth running of our Saturday clinics. You will be thefirst point of contact for patients attending appointments, managing theirarrival on Systm1 and providing a helpful, reassuring service. At the end ofthe shift, you will also be responsible for coordinating the blood samples collection,ready for the UHL courier to collect.
Main duties of the job
You will be the one main point of contact on reception, arriving patients on the system, managing the reception desk, and responding to any queries patients may have. If there is any sickness you will need to be confident to cancel the clinics on the morning. Once the clinic is complete, you will ensure safe handover of blood samples to the blood collection driver. you will work alongside a small team of HCAs and Nurse.

Job responsibilities
Welcomingand arriving patients onto Systm1.
Managingthe reception desk and responding to patient queries in person.
Supportingclinicians by keeping patient flow running smoothly.
Inthe unlikely event of clinician sickness or other reason, cancelling clinics onthe morning.
Preparingand ensuring safe handover of blood samples for collection at the end of theclinic.
Maintainingpatient confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
Assistingwith other administrative and reception duties such as re-booking patients ifnecessary or signposting any walk in patients to other services.
Person Specification
Experience
* - Previous reception experience within healthcare or a GP practice is preferred.
* - Confident using IT systems knowledge of Systm1 is highly advantageous
* - Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach.
* - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and remain calm under pressure.
* - Highly reliable, professional and able to work well as part of a small Saturday team
Qualifications
* GCSE's Grade A*-C
