Our client is a well-established printed packaging manufacturer supplying into a wide range of market sectors in the UK. They produce packaging mainly for the retail sector which includes self-adhesive labels, linerless labels and printed folded cartons. These are produced using Lithographic, Flexographic and Digital Print Processes.
They are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Designer to join their Design Team. You will be responsible for the daily packaging design processes, creating innovative and functional packaging designs for multiple industries and products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce technical packaging designs using ArtiosCAD to ensure the best possible results are achieved, with a focus on the structural design of packaging components to ensure correct assembly and functionality
2. Supply samples of requested profiles (CAD designs) in the required material using the Zund cutting table
3. Fix inaccuracies and mistakes, including checking and amending existing profiles
4. Be involved in the entire packaging development process, including CAD design, prototyping, and production
5. Liaise with colleagues, the Sales Team, and clients to ensure enquiries are processed through to completion in a timely manner, while maintaining quality, accuracy, and consistency of designs under tight deadlines
6. Help manage board stock for sample making and keep the sample area clean and tidy
7. Ensure the working environment both the digital desktop and physical workspace are always kept clean and tidy
8. Complete any other reasonable tasks deemed relevant within the Design Department
9. Actively support and be part of the Design Team, working to the standards set by the Design Manager
Requirements:

11. Understand manufacturing processes for solid board cartons
