Job Role: Commercial Director
We are creating a new role within the organization for a Commercial Director, who will be an integral part of the shareholders' strategic plan to professionalize and grow the business and management team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate proposals and sales functions of the business.
2. Work closely with the sales director to manage key customers, aiming to improve turnover and profitability in line with business objectives.
3. Collaborate with the sales director and shareholders to secure new orders for trading divisions.
4. Develop and implement the commercial strategy, including proposals, sales, and projects.
5. Control sales output on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to meet budgets.
6. Lead the business through project challenges and disputes.
7. Manage change within projects for the best interests of the business.
8. Oversee Project Management and Project Engineering resources and functions.
9. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with positive cash flow.
10. Work with the Financial Controller to ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations such as guarantees, warranties, insurances, and invoicing procedures.
11. Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and communicated effectively.
Role Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering; postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Business Administration is preferred.
* Experience in HVAC or related industries.
* Proven track record and skills at a similar level.
* Strong leadership abilities.
* Effective and confident communicator.
* Results-driven, tenacious, with sound business judgment.
* Commercially savvy with excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
* Willingness to travel to oversee locations, customers, and suppliers.
