An ambitious and fast-improving secondary school located in the heart of St Neots, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a passionate and dynamic Qualified Teacher of English to enhance our academic team. This full-time position is available to start in September or sooner, joining our school as we strive to elevate our educational offerings and student achievements.
Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver outstanding English lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
*Assess and monitor student progress and plan further development, setting ambitious targets and providing effective feedback.
*Contribute to the development of the curriculum within the English Department.
*Engage actively in professional development and collaborative teaching practices.
*Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
*Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and wider community activities.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent teaching qualification.
*A degree in English or a closely related field.
*Experience in teaching English at secondary school level, evidenced by recent, demonstrable success in student outcomes.
*A thorough knowledge of the British curriculum for English.
*Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
*Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*A commitment to continuous professional development.
