Maintenance Engineer

* Rates: £29.80 PAYE / £40 Umbrella

Morson is currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our defence client at their Stevenage site. This role offers the chance to work within a high-performing Calibration & Maintenance team, supporting vital operations and ensuring essential process and environmental test equipment remains fully operational.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of process and environmental stress screening equipment.
* Diagnosing and repairing faults down to component level, using technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
* Providing support and guidance to operators, ensuring smooth equipment operation.
* Managing spares packages, keeping maintenance records up to date, and coordinating with external contractors to reduce downtime.
* Occasionally mentoring junior engineers and sharing expertise across the team.
What we're looking for
? HNC (or higher) in a relevant engineering subject.
? Proven track record in preventative and reactive maintenance, ideally in an electronic manufacturing or defence/aerospace environment.
