We are currently seeking a Casual Greenkeeper to support our Greenkeeping team in maintaining the exceptional standards of our golf course and surrounding grounds.
The Role
As a Casual Greenkeeper, you will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the golf course and wider resort grounds. This role offers flexible hours based on operational needs and is ideal for someone with previous turf or grounds experience looking for casual or seasonal work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain all areas of the golf course and surrounding grounds in line with best practice and company standards.
2. Manage and present fine turf areas, including greens, tees, and approaches, to an exceptional standard.
3. Operate ride-on mowers and other turfcare machinery safely and efficiently.
4. Assist in planning and delivering daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance programmes.
5. Support construction and renovation projects on course features such as bunkers, tees, and greens.
6. Ensure clubhouse surroundings, car parks, lawns, and public areas are clean, tidy, and well presented.
7. Maintain flower beds, planters, and hanging baskets as required.
8. Safely operate, maintain, and care for all turfcare machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
9. Keep pathways, roadways, and communal areas clean and free from debris.
What We’re Looking For
10. Previous experience in a golf course or sports turf environment.
11. Experience operating ride-on mowers.
12. Spraying qualifications (PA1, PA2A & PA6) – desirable.
13. Full UK driving licence preferred.
14. Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
15. Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
