Overview
Assistant Patient Administrator - Band 2 Ward Clerk 37.5 hrs per week. Mon-Sunday 8.00-20.00 on a rota. We are searching a high performing, enthusiastic and empathetic individual to work in the Inpatient Wards. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare to patients. You will be expected to provide administrative support to a diverse team including clinical staff. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare to patients by supporting and welcoming patients into services in a way that meets their individual needs. The Patient Administrator will also provide administrative support to a team liaising between patients, doctors, practitioners and other healthcare professionals. The staff member will work consistently to provide high quality customer service and will be professional at all times.
Responsibilities
* Work areas include: Wards, Reception, and general administrative support to the clinical team in the assigned team, with cross-cover across the Trust’s administrative resource.
* File all paperwork appropriately and provide cover across the POD as required.
* Ensure all procedures are followed for data capture for service-specific outcomes.
* Provide an excellent standard of service to patients at all times; adhere to trust-wide standard operating procedures and policies for clinical administrative processes and participate in their development.
* Photocopying and filing; answering phones; greeting relatives as they enter the ward.
* Booking follow-up appointments and transport.
