This is a Nights based role working a 4 day week Tuesday to Friday, with full flexibility to cover holidays and work loads dependant on volumes. Shift start and finish times may vary although core hours are 22:00 pm to 8:00 am.
Our Night Shift Warehouse Manager is a key role working with our Depot General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Night operation in the Depot; where you will lead teams of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites in to smaller geographic areas to be delivered to the final customer.
The Nightshift Warehouse Manager is fully accountable for the performance of the shift whilst proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service & operational efficiency. You will ensure all resources including third party are managed, planned and controlled to achieve the agreed service levels. Our designate position is to further enhance the management support and leadership we can provide across our 24/7 operation.
Responsibilities:
* Managing all areas of the night warehouse sortation in an efficient cost-effective manner.
* Ensuring depot key KPI’s are achieved e.g. sortation compliance, Vehicle Departure times etc.
* Budget Management to achieve the agreed service levels including productivity, labour costs, overtime usage, Agency usage.
* To lead, coach and develop the supervisors on shift.
* To adhere to the legal requirements of the ‘O’ Licence.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
* Transport knowledge, skills or experience including regulations
* Experience in managing and leading a team
* PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
* Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels
