Healthcare Support Worker

We are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our Outpatients Department. You will help deliver high‑quality, personalized care to patients in a safe and clean environment.
This is a part‑time post working 22.5 hours per week.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will:
* Support experienced Consultant Surgeons in a range of Outpatient Clinics, including vascular and general surgery.
* Provide compassionate care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
* Work within a team committed to maintaining the highest standards of nursing service.
* Occasionally assist in clinics that extend beyond regular hours (until 6:00 PM for specific services).

Main duties of the job
* Undertake clinical procedures following assessment of competencies by qualified senior members of staff.
* Carry out delegated nursing care.
* Provide safe and effective care.
* Identify areas for improvement.
* Liaise with nursing staff for information regarding observations, lab samples, blood sugar monitoring, dressings and further health checks.
* Restock supplies daily.
* Comply with policies and procedures of the ward.

Prerequisites
* Working with adults in a care setting.
* Nursing experience within the NHS/hospital setting.
* Experience of working in general medicine or rehabilitation.
Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A–C, NVQ2) in Care or a good standard of general education to GCSE level, with the expectation to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment.
* Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.
* Provide original certificates to verify qualifications at point of offer.
