EQUANS are looking for a Technical Supervisor working on our Rotherham Schools contract. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Technical supervisor will ensure adherence to both statutory and contractual compliance on 14 schools across the Rotherham Schools PFI Estate.
Demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in responding to changing business requirements and will establish good working relationships with the team and client.
Develop effective customer relationships providing the interface and first point of escalation for technical service delivery.
Ensure compliance is accurately documented and consistently applied across all schools within the Rotherham estate.
The individual should have the ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.

Complexity
The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for the technical performance and maintenance of standards within the contracts working with and reporting to the Technical Services Manager. They will provide guidance to others on site, showing technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.
* Manage a team of engineers to ensure the in-house delivery of technical services is efficient, timely and to a high standard.
* Ensure customer focused service delivery, contractual and procedural compliance across the PFI contract.
* Ensure the provision and maintenance of a high level of Mechanical / Electrical / and other technical disciplines in a Hard FM environment.
* Ensure up to date accurate asset management and support in the delivery of lifecycle planning and delivery.
* Undertake RP/AP roles as required by the contract.
* Offer technical support as required to the business.
* Ensure all statutory and contractual obligations are maintained and accurately documented in line with current legislation.
* Management of PPM to ensure contractual / statutory timescales are met.
* Monitor and assess ongoing facility performance, through PPM programme, identifying any additional works required or indicated in PPM reports.
* Manage the organisation of Statutory Inspections to ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
* Completion of Health and Safety audits in line with agreed programme including follow up action and reporting.
* Staff management including monitoring, induction and actions where necessary.
* Sub-contractor management including regular meetings.
* Ensure records are maintained, are up to date and readily available on SharePoint.
* Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, develop effective working relationships with business partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
* Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
* Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
* Ability to measure, works to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams and communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/skill.
* Ensure projects are planned, delivered to customer specification.
* Planning and implementation of change to improve service and operational quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications or Required Experience
* Required experience in a Technical field – Electrical, Mechanical, Gas, Water etc.
* Working knowledge of other services such as support services, Admin, Finance.
* Working experience of People Management, Sickness, Performance, Risk Management and compliance.
* Desirable previous experience with CAD.
* Experience of Managing Sub Contractors and maintaining standards.
* Responding to bespoke client/ operational requests for information.
* Good working knowledge of standard IT packages.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Must be well organised and efficient.
* Must be self‑motivated and be able to work on own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Experience of analysis of data and reporting writing.
* Have a minimum of IOSH Working Safely.
* Well versed and understand statutory compliance and reporting.
* Experience of Asset Management and CAFM systems.
* Experience of Life Cycle management and requirements.
* Experience of working and adhering to budgets, offering cost effective solutions.
