With continued growth and investment across their sites, they are now seeking an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Officer to take ownership of safety performance and drive continuous improvement across the business.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety standards across multiple sites. You’ll champion a culture of safety awareness, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements while promoting best practice throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Champion and embed a positive health and safety culture across all departments.
*
Carry out detailed risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
*
Deliver engaging training sessions to staff at all levels, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities.
*
Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
*
Review and enhance internal health and safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
*
Oversee COSHH assessments and ensure all control measures are up to date and effective.
*
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records in line with current legislation.
*
Lead safety forums, toolbox talks, and initiatives to drive engagement and awareness.
*
Conduct regular fire alarm, extinguisher, and CO monitor checks, ensuring full compliance.
*
Support management with continuous improvement projects and new site developments.
About You
*
Qualified: NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent in Health and Safety.
*
Experienced: Proven background in a health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment.
*
Skilled Communicator: Confident engaging with people at all levels and influencing a positive safety culture.
*
Organised & Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical, reporting, and time management skills.
*
Proactive: Able to work independently and take ownership of safety initiatives.
