Bristol (Somerset)
Supported housing officer
Posted: 14 November
Offer description

Actual Salary: £13,923 per annum 18.5 hours Fixed Term until 31.03.2027 We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Service Team as our next Housing Support Officer – Tenancy Sustainment. You will provide bespoke support to our customers who currently cannot manage their tenancy. You will be supporting residents at risk of losing their tenancy, prevent potential homelessness and help to reduce anti-social behaviour and maximise rental income. The key to this role is to build trust with our customers and continue this until and beyond their circumstances approve and their tenancy is stable. About you: You will have knowledge of Housing and Tenancy law and an awareness of local specialist services. You will also have knowledge of Adult and Child Safeguarding and an awareness of the issues that contribute to tenancy failure. As you will be working with customers 1-to-1, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills, including good negotiation and advocacy skills. Some of customers struggle to engage and have complex needs so your person-centred approach, patience and resilience will be needed to encourage engagement. The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with your access to your own car is required or alternative transport. We review applications when received, so we may close the vacancy early if we find that perfect candidate. If the role takes your interest, then apply now! Previous applicants need not apply.
