Job Description
What is the opportunity? In this role, you will support activities across the quantitative and data science spectrum within RBC BlueBay.
What will you do?
1. Design and maintain front office tools, such as dashboards or apps, that display visualizations and quantitative analyses.
2. Understand the Quant data infrastructure, including maintaining database queries, stored procedures, and managing cloud migration, in collaboration with IT.
3. Serve as the primary contact between the Quant team and IT infrastructure, front office developers, and data teams.
4. Research new data sources, statistical methods, and AI technologies to enhance offerings to the front office. The focus on quantitative research will increase over time.
5. Build strong relationships with the front office, ensuring they are comfortable with the quality of analyses and fostering idea exchange.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have:
* Proficiency in R, Python, or Matlab programming.
* Strong numerical skills.
Nice to have:
* Experience with SQL or other database management systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
