Info: First/Second Line Engineer
Robert Half Technology are assisting a well-established professional services organisation to recruit a First/Second Line Engineer on a contract basis. Hybrid working - London based.
Role
* The First/Second Line Engineer will provide technical support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
* Escalate complex issues to Third line support or vendors when necessary, maintaining clear communication throughout.
* Assist with user account management, permissions, and group policy administration in Active Directory.
* Support Office 365 applications, email configurations, and basic network connectivity.
* Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, requests, and system configurations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Profile
* The First/Second Line Engineer will have proven experience providing end-user IT support within a professional or corporate environment.
* Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking principles (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
* Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
