About Colin Palmer
My name is Colin Palmer. I am a disabled man who needs some assistance with some aspects of daily living. I live in my own home with my wife and need some support to maintain my independence.
I have a long‑term health condition and have developed strategies to enable me to manage my condition and therefore it is very important that as my Personal Assistant you respect these strategies.
License & DBS
* A full clean driver’s licence is required.
* An enhanced DBS will be required for this role and any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory references and DBS.
Residency & Right to Work
* The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Provide domestic and social assistance to support independent living.
* Work under the direction of Mr. Colin Palmer and meet his needs without surprise.
* Listen to and act on requests and directions from Mr. Palmer.
* Respect privacy, confidentiality, and the need for flexibility.
* Assist with household tasks and shopping to relieve his wife.
* Support everyday lifting and carrying as needed.
* Adhere to care strategies developed by Mr. Palmer to manage his long‑term health condition.
Qualifications
* Good general health, as you may need to help with everyday lifting and carrying.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to respect privacy and confidentiality.
* Ability to work flexible hours.
* Good communication skills.
