As an Apprenticeship Coach, you will join a dynamic team of dedicated staff to enhance a high-quality apprenticeship journey by working with academic experts and professional staff at the University and a diverse employer client base. You will be supporting apprentices in the subject area of Management (Senior Leader/CMDA). You will also engage with the course teams to enhance your discipline knowledge and use your organisational strengths to support the delivery of work-based learning modules on campus. You will be required to undertake frequent and regular progress reviews with apprentices and their employers, conducted digitally and in the Apprentice's workplace to support the apprenticeship journey and the University's compliance with funding rules and good practice in vocational learning at higher levels. Travel will be required to visit employer locations both in Sheffield and further afield. A full UK driving license is essential. We are looking for someone who has experience of working in the relevant sectors, but we do not require you to have registered status with any specific professional body. Recent demonstrable experience of supporting learning using coaching and mentoring skills is also essential. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people from a variety of business and organisation situations. You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined-benefit pension schemes in the country. Each year you will earn a secure pension benefit of 1/49th of your salary and the University will pay pension contributions towards the cost of this pension (currently worth about 22% of your salary). For a starting salary of £30,000, for example, the University would pay just over £6,500 in the first year of your employment and you would earn a pension of £612 p.a. for that year (payable from your State Pension Age).
